Hanns Bauer founded AGATEX in 1921 as a company producing technical gases. Since the 1950s, AGATEX has made a name for itself in Austria and abroad as a manufacturer of special organic chemicals. Today, the privately-owned company is managed by Georg Bauer as the fourth generation of the founding family. Following the integration of Europe and the evolution of new markets, the company’s expertise is also very much in demand outside Austria. Even so, the growth of the company is based on the principle of sustainability.
